There’s an easy way to please your clients.

Promise less than you intend to deliver. Then deliver more than they expect.

This will make your clients happy every time.

I say this expecting you to use your common sense; you obviously need to promise what they are expecting. And be able to deliver it within their expected time frame and costs. Then you should deliver over and above that.

This idea is simple and you probably already know it intuitively. But it’s worth reminding yourself (and myself) as we approach new projects and new clients.
